Reflection

The Catholic liturgical year is a beautiful rhythm that invites us to live our lives according to the seasons of the Church. From the joyous anticipation of Advent to the deep contemplation of Lent, each season draws us closer to the mysteries of Christ. Yet, nestled between these moments is the longest and perhaps most overlooked season: Ordinary Time. This time gives us an opportunity to recognize those “ordinary” people who live closest to us and a time to grow in virtue, prayer and deepen our relationship with Christ. During this season of Ordinary Time, let us ask for the great gift of an empathetic and compassionate heart, that we may recognize others and focus on those who are in front of us in the ordinary seasons of our lives.
